Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Hi All

Firstly i would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all who took part in the 2011 IPO Nationals held in universal gym, Dublin. I think all who attended will agree that JJ Dune, done a fantastic job as meet promoter, the Venue was superb and the day went off without a hitch, id also like to thank all the spotters and loaders who done a great job in keeping the competition moving swiftly and safely with a few great spots making sure knowone got injured.

I would also like to thank the girls at the top table for their professionalism in keeping everything organised and on target, the referees for there good judgments over the day and finally a big thanks to Shane Brodie and Amanda Bedford for all the hard work they put in behind the scenes, it is much appreciated by all.

The competition went smoothly with some huge lifts and some exciting competition, Daniel Walcyak took the best overall with some incredible lifting and plenty more in him too, Best Female went to Angela Mc Namara with some phenomenal lifting from her as usual. Best Overall Junior went to Mark Higgins with a fantastic showing from this young man. Sean Hoey took the Kieran Sheehan memorial cup, with some great lifting from him on his return to the platform.

There were some fantastic lifts in the single lifts with some huge benches from David O Sullivan and Piotr Wojtalik fighting it out for first in the 140 class.

The next stop on the Calendar is the EPC European Championships being held in Limerick in june, i would urge all who qualified to take part as its a great opportunity to get some experience on the international stage without having to travel far, also so that we can once again show that Ireland has one of the Strongest teams and federations in the world and again take home the award for strongest team and we the IPO Comittee would like all of you to be apart of this.

I have also attached a copy of the 2011 minutes from our agm.

Yours Sincerely
Ruairi Mc Cann  ;D
IPO Secretary
