2012 WPF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
POWERLIFTING, BENCH PRESS & DEAD LIFT

Dear Friends of the WPF Powerlifting fraternity,

The WPF invited ALL Nations to make bids to host the 2012 World Championships in the month of November 2012. This was sadly due to Holland endorsing the banning of 3 bonafide Organisations representing Great Britain, Iceland and USA Nations participation, to the WPF Secretary.

The WPF are pleased to report that, we have received 4 bids from the following Nations:

Great Britain, India, Mexico and Nigeria.

An evaluation on all the above bids in respect of location, dates, experience, meeting the rules for lifting requirements, equipment and the Meet Directors Agreement standards before deciding which came out best for the lifters.  We will continue to encourage existing and new Nations to embrace future bids to host.

The official warrant to host the 2012 WPF World Championships has been awarded to:
The British Powerlifting Organisation
Great Britain

The WPF Elected Officers will do there utmost to support the selected host Nation in running the official 2012 WPF World Championships.

Lifters from around the World will be invited to participate in these World Championships outside affiliated Nations.

You are also invited to ignore any rogue communication you receive contrary to the above outside the Official elected WPF as being divisive in our sport of Powerlifting.
